Green @ home - new Fine Homebuilding special issue

We are excited that Fine Home Building once again published one of our projects, this time in their special Green @ Home issue – “How to create a healthy, energy-smart home”. Why do we like this issue? Because it’s providing a good, non-ideological overview of the different green building and design practices you can apply today. While it leaves out discussion of some of the newer or more advanced climate control, heating systems, insulation techniques or lighting options, their suggestions are practical and most of them will not break your bank.

Our bathroom project published in this issue features some interesting design elements, such as cork flooring (yes, it can work in a bathroom), unique storage solutions, some cool LED accent lighting etc. Besides using environmentally friendly finishes and materials, the bathroom was also designed to meet federal ADA standards for accessible design, making it suitable for aging in place.
